Panama Snorkeling & Scuba Diving

Red Frog Beach is a perfect dive point to access amazing Panama snorkeling and scuba diving. This resort is at the epicenter of Bocas del Toro Island Archipelago for water activities and has some of the best Panama snorkeling and scuba diving. The island chain presents a series of pristine mangrove keys and protected bays that are ideal for Bocas del Toro snorkeling and Panama diving. At Red Frog Beach Rainforest Resort there are incredible beaches to dive in on the north coastline and smooth, glass-like waters on the south side of the island-perfect for a scuba diving or snorkeling in Panama. The beaches and areas around Bastimentos are frequently voted the best dive in Panama; the Bocas del Toro bays have some of the most ideal conditions for scuba diving and snorkeling in Panama.

Bocas del Toro scuba diving is a great location to get PADI certified. The waters in the Bocas archipelago (bayside) are calm and warm with no strong currents, which are great to snorkel and makes a perfect dive for beginner scuba divers. Divers of all skill levels will enjoy a dive with the numerous species of fish and coral. There are more than 15 great spots for Bocas del Toro scuba diving and countless snorkeling spots. Scuba diving lessons are available in Bocas Town.

This is one of the best destinations for Panama snorkeling and diving. We currently have Bocas del Toro snorkel gear for rental; in the near future we will have a resort pool for snorkel and scuba practice before heading out to the coral gardens located throughout Bocas del Toro. North beach, a 20 minute hike from Playa Tortuga, is a great dive site with some of the best snorkeling in Panama.

The Red Frog Marina is the launching point to Bocas town if you would like to do some Panama diving. The marina village features 24 slips and plans to ultimately accommodate over 100 vessels. This island protected harbor entrance is framed by our organic gardens and rainforest. A Bocas del Toro scuba dive shop is planned here in the future.

Snorkel, Scuba Dive & Much More!

In addition to snorkeling and scuba diving, other water activities include surfing, boogie boarding, and kayaking. You will also love to view the several creeks, waterfalls, and bubbling streams located at the Resort. After a day of Panama scuba diving or snorkeling at Bocas del Toro, it is nice to come back to your private villa and dive into your own fresh water pool.

Nature walkways and jungle trails go throughout Bastimentos. You can hike through incredible rainforest and find fascinating snorkel spots! These trails lead to some of those unique and "secret" Bocas del Toro snorkel areas. By walking these trails you will notice the amount of lush vegetation that is teeming with wildlife. The Bastimentos Sky Canopy Tour will open Summer 2010 and offer guests a perfect way to experience nature.

Guided Tours: Scuba Dive, Snorkel, Hike, Kayak...

Tours can be guided and offered for almost anything you would like to do: kayak, hike, scuba dive, snorkel, explore, and sight-seeing. These tours are a great way to explore the islands and experience some of the most beautiful natural environments in Central America. All of our tours are lead by a local (English/Spanish speaking) guide. Snorkel or scuba diving gear and life jackets are provided, as well as a cooler stocked with sodas, beer, and water. (Children 10 & under ride FREE!)
